The book is simple, it doesn't give much information about the the species. I don't know, I have better books (Veterinary Hematology: Atlas of Common Domestic and Non-Domestic SpeciesAtlas of Veterinary Hematology: Blood and Bone Marrow of Domestic Animals .

This book isnt terrible but i was looking for something more specific to the dog & cat. There is a chapter in the book 1 for cats and 1 for dogs. But They aren't that long. The pictures are good but nothing I dont already have. The majority of the book is on other species I dont work with. Each species has it's own chapter and each chapter has good pictures in it. The book is much shorter than I what I expected too. Basically the book is anywhere from 5-8 pages per chapter/species with mostly pictures of hemotology slides. Its a nice book to add to your collection, and thats the only reason I didnt send it back. But otherwise if your looking for a book more indept on feline/canine hematology dont get this book. If you want a book with hemotology slides from a variety of species this would be a better choice.
