Patrick Harris has put us on notice that its time to act and there's no time like the present. The 7th Aim is giving us tools to not only make us think about our state of healthcare but how we move forward.
Even though there is a ton of information he has managed to scale it down into palatable sizes for the reader to digest and then use in the future.
I particular like the "learning tool kit" for those that are focused challenged it summarizes the chapter for the most important points. Also throughout the chapter there are sections that draw your attention to the main points within.
The effort by Mr. Harris is commendable and just the start to 'developing an army of experts'.

The 7th Aim is an amazing book that will help you bring the vast picture of the Healthcare industry into focus. Healthcare today is in constant change and this book creates touch points that act as guides to understand the change.
Based on my years of experience in the industry, I highly recommend this book to any healthcare leader and encourage them to engage their staff to read it as well if they want to improve their patients' experiences.
It's an easy but also a must read book with a big impact for anyone interested in the health care industry. Patrick talks about the need for health care industry to get back to the basics of understanding how the core elements of the industry interplay which is critical for everyone to understand how to improve it.
